摘要

Image processing is a vast field that has witnessed significant development in recent years. It has many applications in image processing and some related disciplines, such as archaeology. Also, image processing employs various techniques to enhance image quality and present it in a different form. However, traditional image processing methods often fail to identify essential components of the image fully. To address this limitation, we propose three techniques. In this paper, we introduce two new techniques which are pre-classification, preprocessing as part of the image processing process and segmentation. These techniques aim to improve image description and aid in the identification of relevant areas. Finally, we evaluate these techniques using a diverse archaeological image database. The results confirm the effectiveness of our proposed approach, achieving acceptable performance levels.
