摘要

Products, systems and services characterized as Assistive Technologies (ATs) are developed to assist people with limited functional capabilities. However, the systemic context of conception, development and production lacks research that analyses the impact of ATs on the different characters in this ecosystem of assistance to people with disabilities to expand the reach and dissemination of these technologies. In this sense, this article aims to map the players who are the characters in the context of assistive technologies, analyzing globally the impacts generated through the diffusion of these technologies. To achieve the objective, a systematic review of the literature and a meta-analysis were carried out using an approach based on the rules of the Apriori algorithm. With this research, important insights can be obtained to identify and improve the links between players, positively expanding the impacts generated on society. The article’s results demonstrate a strong connection among people with disabilities, AT users, and family members, highlighting their significance in the AT chain. The most addressed impacts included social aspects, independence, and social belongingness. A gap was noted in the connection between healthcare professionals, international organizations, and AT distributors, indicating the need for greater collaboration. It is concluded that AT promotes independence and social inclusion, but further research is needed to enhance coordination among the different actors in the AT chain.
