An Augmented Data Storage Algorithm for Digital Assistants Using Cryptography

摘要

Due to the extensive sharing of information in the present era, there has been an increase in interest in securing multimedia data. Attackers are trying to obtain sensitive information from various sources, underscoring the need to protect the data. As a result, the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) proposed by Daemen and Rijmen took security to a whole new aspect. On the other hand, recent reports of Pegasus spyware spying on targets based on digital assistants like Alexa, Siri, and Google assistants proved the need to strengthen the security of digital assistants. Here we propose a novel encryption scheme for the text and image encryption model for digital assistants. The suggested approach relies on dividing and concatenating encrypted messages with AES and MD5 as well. The proposed encryption model has increased the time taken for computation thereby increasing the security. The peak signal to noise ratio of the proposed method is 77.34%, which indicates better quality of reconstructed image. Image encryption model employs visual cryptography to secure the data. The measured PSNR and Correlation Coefficient values for image encryption model indicate the high quality of encryption.
