Introduction
摘要
This book is about efforts to restore the habitat of the endangered Eastern Mountain Avens (Geum peckii) in Big Meadow Bog, Nova Scotia. Geum peckii is one of Canada’s most at risk species. In this chapter we overview the rationale for the restoration project, the conservation history for Geum peckii, and the concepts of adaptive management which shaped both the restoration project and the structure of this book.
