This study aims to assess the perspectives of media communicators regarding the combat against fake news in Bahraini society and to evaluate the significant role played by artificial intelligence (AI) applications in fake news detection. Researchers employed a survey method, distributing questionnaires to communicators selected through purposive sampling, with a total of 100 participants interviewed by experts in media and AI technologies. The study was framed by the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology. Key findings include AI applications for detecting fake news in media scored an average of 77% in effectiveness. Prominent tools utilized include Full Fact and Fact Mata. Additionally, ethical concerns stemming from AI usage in the media industry primarily revolve around its potential for generating deep fake images and texts.
