The Impact of Psychological Empowerment on Job Creativity a Study Applied to Employees of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning in the Kingdom of Bahrain

Purpose: Improving job Psychology empowerment is a major aspect to enhance the job’s creativity in organizations. This research attempts to examining the impact of psychological empowerment in enhancing job creativity in Ministry of work, Kingdom of Bahrain. Theoretical framework: The study adopted the (Spreitzer in Acad. Manag. J. 38:1442–1465, 1995) model of psychological empowerment, which includes four dimensions (meaning, influence, merit, and independence). Its followed the descriptive analytical approach, as it is the appropriate approach for accurately describing human phenomena, as it is the most suitable for revealing the characteristics of the variables in this study, verifying their hypotheses, answering their questions, and achieving its goal, which is measuring the impact of transformational leadership on the job creativity of workers in Ministry of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Design/methodology/approach: The literature review proposed Four hypotheses of the research to be tested. Quantitative approach was used to examine the impact through distribution the questionnaire among 180 employees in ministry of work in Kingdom of Bahrain, and the data was analysed by using SPSS version 25.0. Findings: The result was showing that there is a statistically significant impact between psychological empowerment with all its aspects Meaning, Merit, and independence on job creativity for the workers at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning in the Kingdom of Bahrain. And There was no statistically significant impact of psychological empowerment presenting the effect on job creativity for the workers at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning in the Kingdom of Bahrain. As a result, this research is suggesting developing the psychological empowerment (meaning, merit, and independent) within the organizations to enhance job creativity. Research, Practical & Social implication: This research contributes to the application on job creativity for the workers at the Ministry of Works in Kingdome of Bahrain. Originality/value: The results obtained in this study are innovative and relevant for the Ministry of work, in the context of job creativity, and psychological empowerment.
