There is a great need for the interior designer in buildings as is the case with the architect to employ and exploit the interior spaces in all buildings, and the primary role of the interior designer in buildings. This study aimed at how undergraduate students view the concept of interior design, and compare interior design, decoration, interior architecture, and the importance of interior design in Jordan. An interview will be conducted via social media for interior design experts from the teaching staff and the practical market, and a survey will be sent via social media to interior design university students who are still in the education stage and newly graduated employees working in companies. This study showed that university students studying interior design were not fully aware of the concept of interior design and the importance of interior design in Jordan and the world. It also showed that they did not have the ability to distinguish between interior design, decoration, and interior architecture. This study discusses the comparison between interior design, decoration, and interior architecture in terms of concept, tasks, and powers from the point of view of experts. A mixed approach was used. The qualitative is the questionnaire and the quantitative is the interview. This study reviews the clarification of the concept of interior design from the point of view of experts for university students wishing to enroll in the interior design major at the university. This study will review the concepts of interior design among experts in interior design, and there will be a difference in their opinions regarding their concept of interior design, its tasks, and powers. The interview will be presented to 5 interior design experts from the teaching staff and from the Jordanian labor market. A questionnaire will be presented to the universities, each university has 10 students of both sexes, and the concepts of interior design will be analyzed by experts, what is the field of work in it, and what is the difference between interior design, decoration, and interior architecture. Indicators will be presented to universities, and the concepts of their specialization will be analyzed, what is the field of work in it, and what is the difference between interior design and decoration.
