The impact of ChatGPT on college students’ perceptions of artificial intelligence (AI) is investigated in this study. Given how quickly AI tools are being incorporated into educational environments, it's important to comprehend how students view and embrace this technology. A program in a study with one group of 61 university students from diverse fields was carried out. These students used ChatGPT for a semester's worth of scheduled academic assignments, such as help with writing, finding material, and solving problems. Using a pre- and post-intervention survey that included the AI Attitude Scale, quantitative measures were employed using SPSS version 21 to evaluate changes in students’ attitudes toward AI. To acquire a deeper understanding of students’ experiences and perceptions, focus groups and informal interviews were also used to collect qualitative results. According to the findings, there has been a notable improvement in participants’ views toward artificial intelligence, and they are now more receptive to integrating AI into their studies and future careers. Additionally, the qualitative data showed that using ChatGPT for experiential learning promoted a more nuanced knowledge of the ethical aspects of AI in addition to improving comfort levels with AI technology. By emphasizing the potential of AI tools like ChatGPT to positively influence students’ attitudes and readiness for the AI-augmented future, this study adds to the growing conversation on AI in education.
