Integrating Technology in Education: The Impact of Blended Learning Approaches in Higher Education
摘要
The current twenty-first-century society is undergoing changes in many parts of life, including education. In education, the focus has shifted to students who engage in active learning which is defined as mental activity that keeps them motivated and allows teachers to choose an appropriate teaching method based on students’ needs rather than merely transferring information, implying a degree of educational quality. This case study examines the impact of blended learning approaches on higher education by focusing on integrating technology into the educational process. In recent years, due to its potential aim of enhancing students’ engagement, flexibility and learning outcomes, by combining traditional face-to-face learning with online learning components, Blended Learning has gained considerable attention. It shall investigate the implementation of blended learning in higher education institutions and examine its effects on students, instructors as well as overall educational experiences. It looks at the various technology tools and platforms that have been applied to modern blended learning, including training management systems, videoconferences, and interactivity on web pages. Preliminary findings show that the engagement of students and educational outcomes are positively influenced by blended teaching approaches. The flexibility and accessibility of online learning components that allow students to work through the course content, collaborate with their peers as well as interact on an innovative basis is appreciated by students. However, the study also identifies various challenges, such as technical issues, the need for technological support, and the importance of clear communication and instructions. The case study contributes to the existing research on blended learning in higher education and provides insight into how technology is integrated within educational environments. The findings may inform educators, administrators and policymakers about the development of efficient blended learning models as well as the implementation of suitable technology methods to improve the overall education experience.
