Twenty years of Collaborative Design, Visualization and Engineering: A Bibliometric Exploration

  • Frode Eika Sandnes

摘要

This paper explores how the Collaborative Design, Visualization and Engineering (CDVE) conference has evolved over twenty years. A bibliometric analysis was conducted based on 755 conference proceedings records extracted from Scopus. The results show that the conference has had a stable inflow of contributions where submissions counts are linked to the conference location. The conference has attracted a good mix of one-time contributors and regular contributors. Papers are cited at reasonable levels indicating that CDVE papers do have impact. The conference is thematically diverse with no common “must read” references. The themes of the contributors have remained relatively stable throughout the twenty years with some notable changes that can be explained by technological paradigm shifts. The conference attracts contributions from all continents with minor regional thematic variations. The CDVE conference appears to be a quality venue for exchanging ideas and results.
