This chapter provides several use cases of modelling and programming such that the concepts introduced in this book are shown in several contexts. For each case, we consider the perspective and related system, the model with its use and the programming involved. We start with two technological systems, one in the area of earthquake early warning (Sect. 6.1) and one in the area of offshore operations (Sect. 6.2). We continue with two cases in the area of social modelling concerning bullying (Sect. 6.3) and a pandemic (Sect. 6.4). Finally, we have two cases related to cultural heritage, one around the modelling of memorial tours (Sect. 6.5) and one about the restoration of a destroyed landmark (Sect. 6.6).
