Development of Blockchain Network for Quality and Product Safety Control Information System

摘要

SALUS is an IT system that collects information about everyday products and their users’ opinions in order to control their quality and detect potential double quality of products. This task requires a stable and reliable data “store” that is trusted by users and subsystems using it. Building such trust requires transparency of operation and resistance to manipulation of the entire system, including interactions between individual modules. The paper presents the SALUS.BC component that is the central module of the SALUS product quality and safety control system. The main element of the module is a distributed and decentralized blockchain network based on the Hyperledger Fabric distribution. It is an open-source implementation of blockchain technology provided by Linux Foundation. It offers an enterprise version of blockchain technology that relies on public and verified participants who reach consensus using the Raft algorithm. Hyperledger Fabric also offers support for smart contracts created using general-purpose programming languages and an advanced logical security model.
