  • Michio Kato

摘要

The author has already examined “synthesis of arts” by Le Corbusier in three independent studies. Woitschützke also examined it on another perspective. The purpose of this study is to verify the following hypothesis triggered by Woitschützke. a) Synthesizing my three studies has the potentials to understand “synthesis of arts” more clearly. b) The “Bull [Taureau]” series (afterwards “Bulls”) include three aspects of “synthesis of arts” as follows; , , . To achieve the purpose, the author will focus the making process of “Bulls”. The conclusion is as follows. 1)  is additional juxtaposition of components. The author confirmed several examples of  in “Bulls”. 2)  is unification from different components (images) to one (image) to make a developing history. In the making process of “Bulls”, multiple images were transformed into “bull” by rotation and deformation. Consequently, “Bulls” include several  each of which constitutes a developing history. 3)  is interaction among different integrations beyond genres. In “Bulls” the five integrations were fused constituting as whole a grand genealogy. 4) Finally,  in “Bulls” created a miracle of “synthesis of arts” that was not realized in the real world but actualized in his pictorial world.
