Application Analysis of AR Technology in Mechanical Teaching Materials

AR technology, as a bridge connecting textbook content with three-dimensional physical objects, models, and animation demonstrations, demonstrates its unparalleled application value and advantages. Graphics is the engineering language of the mechanical discipline, playing a fundamental role in the teaching process of mechanical related professional knowledge. Understanding the spatial structure and geometric principles contained in engineering graphics usually requires strong spatial thinking abilities, which leads to difficulties for some students in the learning process, thereby affecting their learning progress and enthusiasm. The use of AR technology in mechanical teaching materials improves the presentation and expression of graphics. AR technology enhances the three-dimensional visual expression of the textbook content. Through vivid animation demonstrations, the disassembly and reorganization of 3D structures, and multi angle rotation, complex knowledge systems in the field of engineering graphics and mechanical construction can be intuitively and dynamically displayed. This improves the comprehensibility and acceptance of the course content, increases the fun and participation of the learning process, and helps deepen students’ understanding and mastery of mechanical knowledge. The sharing of resources has played an important role in promoting the deep integration of multimedia in mechanical teaching materials and improving the widespread application of teaching materials. This article mainly studies the practical application and creative writing paradigm of AR technology in mechanical teaching materials, and elaborates on the successful application of this new form of mechanical teaching materials based on AR technology.
