Research and Practice on Integrated Teaching System of Graphics Course Based on the OBE-TPCC Concept
摘要
With advancements in computer science, information technology, and artificial intelligence, the traditional classroom lecture model in graphic education no longer fully meets the comprehensive enhancement of students’ abilities. Simultaneously, there is an increasing expectation from employers for hired talents to possess innovative thinking and practical skills. Therefore, based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) philosophy and aligned with our university's focus on cultivating applied talents, we propose a comprehensive OBE-TPCC (Theory-Practice-Certificate-Contest) integrated teaching system for graphic courses. This system aims to enhance students’ abilities across four levels, providing holistic improvement. Using students from the Mechanical Engineering Department graduating classes of 2018 through 2023 as the research cohort, this study conducts multifaceted data analysis and comparisons. After nearly six years of practical validation, significant improvements have been observed in students’ theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and innovative capabilities, thereby enhancing their competitiveness in the job market. This research offers valuable insights and references for enhancing the quality of graphic education and holds important significance in promoting the comprehensive development of students.
