The Theory Is Good, but That Doesn’t Prevent Reality from Existing

  • Francesco Brigo

摘要

This chapter explores the multifaceted role of theory within medicine, examining how theoretical frameworks can inform and enhance medical practice. Theory in medicine acts as a structured foundation upon which clinical understanding and decision-making are constructed. By synthesizing existing knowledge, theories provide a framework for interpreting clinical observations, predicting outcomes, and guiding therapeutic interventions. However, despite its strengths, theory in medicine also poses certain limitations and challenges when applied to real-world medical problems.
