Critical Appraisal of a Diagnosis Article
摘要
This chapter provides a set of checklists for critically appraising an article on diagnosis. Additionally, it offers a series of notes and tips to help identify methodological flaws in diagnostic articles more efficiently and effectively. While details on the diagnostic process and parameters (such as sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values, and positive and negative likelihood ratios) are discussed elsewhere in this book, this chapter equips clinicians with the skills needed to assess diagnostic research thoroughly.
