Critical Appraisal of a Therapy Article: Nonrandomized Controlled Study and Uncontrolled Study

This chapter includes a set of checklists for critically appraising an article that reports the results of nonrandomized controlled and uncontrolled studies. To further facilitate this task, it also offers a series of notes and tips to help identify methodological flaws in these studies more efficiently. Many of these strategies are similar to those used for appraising randomized controlled trials.
