Qualitative Results and Themes
摘要
I conducted interviews with experts, following the quantitative data analysis of the medical residents’ responses. Expert interviews focus on a “person’s special knowledge and experiences which result from the actions, responsibilities, obligations of the specific functional status within an organization/institution” [1]. Essentially, expert interviews “serve to establish an initial orientation in a field that is either substantively new or poorly defined, as a way developing a clearer idea of the problem” [2]. The newness and exploratory nature of this project was the primary motivations for using expert interviews to study the correlation between moral distress and the propensity for moral disengagement.
