Spirituality and religious beliefs remain at the core of natural resource stewardship worldwide. A strong intertwined relationship exists between spirituality, stewardship, and natural resource management, which is increasingly recognized as a crucial aspect of addressing the challenges posed by climate change. The purpose of this study was to explore how diverse world spiritual traditions and belief systems influence perceptions of nature, concepts of stewardship, and approaches to resource conservation. The study postulates that spirituality plays a key role in natural resource conservation and management as various belief systems are already in sync with nature. Additionally, the study further identifies the policy opportunities that are available to enhance natural resource management for different peoples of the world especially as destabilization is being perpetuated on natural habitats. The study recommends the recognition of spiritual practices through policy as a pathway to natural resource conservation efforts worldwide.
