摘要

E-Learning draws attention in research as it is a booming market. The gap is to explore the relationship between E-Learning and trust in technology leading to the research question: “Does E-Learning increase trust in technology?” Corporations have started adopting E-Learning to increase their employees’ know-how and benefit from its advantages as driver to knowledge acquisition. However, another concept connected to knowledge is trust in technology. E-Learning is an increasingly important way of gaining knowledge and experience. Due to the relevance of the field and the identified research gap, this study will further analyze the relationship between E-Learning and trust in technology. This study applies a quantitative method using a survey design. Two online surveys were linked to six E-Learning courses. E-Learning showed a slight negative correlation with trust in technology but increased knowledge, which had a strong positive impact on trust in technology. Considering direct and indirect influence, E-Learning does increase trust in technology, confirming our research question. The findings provide a first base in this research field and help pave the way for further research. Furthermore, the practical implications of the findings are high, highlighting the positive impact of E-Learning and which influence factors are important when creating or choosing E-Learning courses.
