摘要

This case study presents an overview of a game-based learning of SPI Manifesto with pilot results. The authors developed a “Sugoroku” board game as a serious game in which the SPI Manifesto principles are mapped to the “Small-step Good Practices (SGPs)” that the authors have accumulated in the Japan Software Process Improvement Consortium (JASPIC). The results from the pilots showed that the game was fun to play, that interest in and understanding of the Manifesto increased, and that the participants were motivated to use the Manifesto more in the future. A mental model based on Fogg's behavior model is used to evaluate how the attitude transformation obtained from the game will be translated into the behavior transformation.
