Analysis of Automotive SPICE V4.0 Changes

Automotive SPICE has become a key standard for assessing the capability of processes during the development of a mechatronic/electric system in the automotive sector. End of November 2023, the VDA Working Group 13 published the long-awaited new version of Automotive SPICE PAM/PRM V4.0. The Automotive SPICE Guidelines have also been refined and published as the 2nd edition. Several major changes and improvements have been introduced. The working group SoQrates (soqrates.eurospi.net), with experts from major international TIER-1 automotive organizations, started to analyze the changes and their possible impact. In this paper, the key changes will be presented.
