摘要

This study presents a comparative analysis between two prominent three-level inverter topologies, the Neutral Point Clamped (NPC) and Flying Capacitor (FC) inverters, within the realm of electrical engineering and power electronics. A Mathematical Simulation Study Using Simscape in MATLAB is conducted to examine their respective topologies, control strategies, performance characteristics, and application considerations. The NPC inverter offers simplicity in control and operation, with robust voltage regulation capabilities, while the FC inverter presents lower Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) values, promising improved waveform quality. We highlight the importance of mathematical tools, particularly Simscape in MATLAB, in understanding, designing, and optimizing these complex systems, emphasizing their role in accelerating innovation and advancing sustainable energy solutions. Ultimately, this study contributes valuable insights into the selection and deployment of three-level inverter solutions, guiding engineers and researchers towards efficient and reliable power electronics applications.
