摘要

The article presents the implementation of a prototype framework designed for environmental sensing in closer space, such as the temperature and light intensity variables, focusing on their significance in measuring surrounding ecological conditions, especially in health-related projects. The prototype follows the framework’s layers and principles, and a detailed diagram illustrates its components. The prototype, although simplified, effectively demonstrates the integration of services on Internet-based Cloud computing Platform as a Service (PaaS) platforms. The data acquisition process involves connecting sensors to a microcontroller and digitalizing variables. Data is processed and stored using a PHP web service with a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS). NoSQL databases are preferred for setups that prioritize low response times and scalability. Service management is accomplished through web services, which extract and present stored data in JSON format. The prototype’s visualization is hosted on Openshift using the GoogleCharts API, providing insights into health and well-being variables. Overall, this prototype lays a foundation for health monitoring applications, suggesting potential future research and optimization to meet specific requirements and scalability needs.
