Incorporating User Experience (UX) Insights and Customer Value Considerations for Successful Vision-Driven Product Development
摘要
In recent years, the creation of user experience and customer value has become an important issue in industrial design product development. This study proposes a new framework for systematically integrating user experience design and customer value considerations into the product development process. The proposed framework integrates four methods: vision-driven strategy (VDS), image-driven ideation (IDI), product and experience modelling (PXM) and product and experience design (PXD). The product development direction is set through VDS, user experience and customer value are defined using IDI and PXM Explore and define the user experience and customer value through VDS and realize an integrated design of product functionality and user experience through PXD. The effectiveness of the proposed framework was demonstrated through several case studies in which it was applied. The case studies include a tool that supports parent-child communication by visualizing children's emotions using EEG measurements, and the design of a wastebasket that encourages users to change their behaviors. These examples demonstrate that the proposed framework enables innovative product development that delivers high levels of user experience and customer value. The contribution of this study is to provide a practical framework to support the creation of user experience and customer value in industrial design product development. The proposed framework enables product development teams to take a user perspective and generate innovative value propositions. The findings of this study have implications for theory and practice not only in the field of industrial design, but also in related fields such as service design and UX design.
