Education and Agency in Transnational Spaces
摘要
This chapter employs the term “transnational spaces” to investigate the circumstances through which Pálína received an education. The women’s school that Pálína attended is examined in the light of transnationalism. Pálína’s stay at the school and the private lessons in English that she later took are explained with reference to the transnational, Danish Icelandic social relations that her family possessed.
