Approaching the Agency of a Female Entrepreneur
摘要
This chapter investigates Pálína’s entrepreneurial identity as a lived experience in the late nineteenth-century farming community. First, this identity is connected to the Norwegian “herring adventure”, when Norwegian fishing operators expanded their herring fishing around East Iceland in the early 1880s. Second, it is related to the event where she sold her mother’s inheritance as a seventeen-year-old.
