This chapter focuses on the progress and main characteristics of the company, the E.J. Waage Store, an enterprise consisting of a catering business and retail. It discusses gendered questions and the company as a family business. Finally, it proposes that through her activities, Pálína did indeed become a pioneer in trade and commerce in Iceland.
