A Conscious But Hidden Female Entrepreneur

This chapter discusses Pálína Waage’s possibilities in the Icelandic rural community. It presents her, in many ways, unique personal sources and their relation to the question of female economic agency. It proposes that Pálína, a small-scale businesswoman, consciously constructed her identity as that of a person who was capable of conducting entrepreneurship and dealing with money.
