Functional Stimulation of Cardiac Tissue and the Electrode–Tissue Interface: Laboratory Tutorials and Exercises
摘要
One of the best ways to learn something is by doing it. In this chapter, we provide a series of lab exercises for individuals to develop a basic understanding of cardiac electrophysiology, cardiac pacing, and the electrode–tissue interface. Today, it is quite easy to monitor your own ECGs with wearable devices (lead I) or equipment that can be purchased online to perform more sophisticated 12-lead assessments. Moving beyond basic functional electrical monitoring, assessment of pacing, defibrillation, or ablations and other such technologies needs to be observed clinically or performed in an appropriate preclinical laboratory.
