Fourth Pillar: Trinitarian Distinctions

The communication of idioms assumes a distinction between persons and nature in the Trinity and Christology. This chapter sets out the various Patristic and Scholastic distinctions and their correlations and argues for a modal distinction between person and nature in the Trinity, a real-modal distinction between the Triune persons, and a real distinction between Christ’s person and his human nature.
