In the last few decades, around the beginning of the eighteenth century, a scarcity of energy in the world has led us to think of alternative ways of getting energy due to the consistent rise in the human population on the earth. More efforts were needed to eradicate those problems, and at the same time, it was also focused on optimizing the use of oil and natural gas resources. Simultaneously, it was noticed that people from different rural areas started using the dung obtained from the pet animals for cooking purposes [1]. They usually make palm plates using this dung and dry them in regular sunlight for a couple of days. Once it gets dried completely, they use it as fuel to generate heat for cooking. Apparently, by looking at that kind of behavior, a further thought was raised in the mind of the researcher/scientist/engineer. They found that solid fuel material being prepared from dung might get combusted entirely and that the combustion of solid burns off all carbon, including the organic and inorganic compounds. Only heat energy can be extracted from the process of combustion of solid carbon material. However, the requirement for energy cannot be only overcome by heat energy; the formation of a potential product could lead to the fulfillment of the energy demand through the formation of valuable chemicals [2]. After further effort was made, the advancement of a process called combustion led to the development of the gasification process. In an overall approach, the invention of the gasification process was generated by the demand for energy from people that provoked them to adopt different ways of generating energy from available resources. Therefore, the requirement or need for something was fulfilled by creating something new from existing methodologies. The formation of the gasification process is equally credited to engineers, scientists, and general humans worldwide.
