This book explores the potential of decision diagram-based noise-aware quantum circuit simulation. The starting point for this investigation is the simulation of quantum computers without any consideration of noise. Although this simulation style oversimplifies what is happening in a real quantum computer, it is still an important tool for the analysis of new quantum algorithms and the logical starting point for the realization of noise-aware quantum circuit simulators.
