Program Development for the Management of Digital Images in Grip Software

A program for the management of digital images was created to develop a grip software. The grip software can be used to classify and register the information on the gripping ability of protrusions obtained in our research, and to search the appropriate shape, size and distribution of protrusions matching the desire of a user. Thumbnails of the images can be displayed in an order of preference. They are displayed through the texture mapping functions of OpenGL if the sizes (length and width) of the original JPEG image satisfy the conditions of OpenGL, otherwise, the sizes are scaled by bicubic interpolation. The user can zoom the image and access the PDF file or CAD/CAE data of the protrusions selected.
