At present, during the swift progression of digital technology, digital humanities and visualization fields are closely associated. Visualization serves as an effective tool that integrates geometry and graphics. However, a comprehensive knowledge base on existing research in digital humanities visualization has yet to be established, and the role of geometry and graphics in this field is undefined. Therefore, this paper adopts a quantitative research method to explore the research from a macroscopic perspective based on the indicators of publication year, discipline distribution, keywords, and research topics via bibliometric tools such as VOSviewer and CiteSpace software packages. The paper aims to offer a comprehensive overview of the current research landscape and discuss the hotpots and trends related to geometry and graphics. The result suggests that the development of digital humanities visualization year 2001 to 2023 (23 years) is divided into three stages, which underscores the pivotal role of geometry and graphics in shaping the identified hotspots and trends of the study. Moreover, it points out the existing research gaps and future research directions, facilitating enhanced academic exchanges and collaboration in the field.
