Smart Campus Based on AI and IoT in the Era of Industry 5.0: Challenges and Opportunities

The future of smart campuses is driven by the development of multidisciplinary technologies like IoT, AI, mobile internet, and big data. These technologies can provide diverse data sources, such as student research capability, psychological health, and more. This paper explores the transformation of educational institutions into smart campuses through the integration of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things in the context of Industry 5.0 by providing personalized education, enhancing resource management, and improving campus safety and operational efficiency and describe the impact of introducing Industry 5.0. However, it also addresses the significant challenges that come with this transformation, including data privacy and security concerns, the digital divide, and the ethical implications of AI deployment. By examining both the opportunities and the issues, this paper aims to offer a balanced perspective on the implementation of AI and IoT in smart campuses, providing strategic insights in the era of Industry 5.0, smart campuses will prioritize student-centered personalized cultivation and maximize AI technology to achieve comprehensive intelligent design of educational goals and teaching processes.
