Design of an Application to Display and Control Industrial Process Variables Using Augmented Reality Devices
摘要
In recent years, augmented reality has been included in industrial processes because it is one of the key technologies in the development of Industry 4.0. This information and communication technology helps to make procedures more dynamic, efficient, and easier to interpret. In this research, an augmented reality application was designed to display and control an industrial-level variable, simulating in real-time an industrial process. It was applied in the MPS PA Compact Workstation, where actual industrial processes were shown because it has sensors and actuators such as level, flow, pressure, and temperature. This research shows the control of the level variable developed in an IoT circuit to manage real-time data interacting with the cloud through WIFI. This data is displayed on an augmented reality device (Meta 2 Glasses) through an AR application in specialized software such as Unity 3D and Visual Studio. The results show optimal control of the filling process of a tank by manipulating the Setpoint in real-time, providing a different experience to the user, focused on the speed and ease with which the guidelines of the workstations can be changed.
