Diagnosis is often made during routine prenatal screening and most regress postnatally without need for interventions. FibromasFibroma are isolated growths and the second most common pediatricPediatric tumor. Other tumors include atrial myxomasMyxoma, hemangiomas, and malignant rhabdomyosarcomas. Echocardiography and cross-sectional imaging are useful to delineate tumor size, location, and associated findings; MRI is the best modality for tissue characterization. The management of a tumor depends on whether it is causing obstruction or arrhythmiaArrhythmia, and whether it has malignant potential. Medical treatments, including tumor suppression therapy (sirolimus), are directed to address symptoms or arrhythmiasArrhythmia. Interventions are limited to tumors causing hemodynamic compromise, intractable arrhythmiasArrhythmia, or at risk for complications.
