摘要

Total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVCTotal anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC)) encompasses a spectrum of lesions in which all the pulmonary veinsPulmonary veins are connected to the right atrium (RA) or its systemic venous tributaries. For survivalSurvival a right-to-left shunt is required, and this is typically at the atrial level. Significant obstruction to pulmonary venous drainage results in pulmonary edema and cardiogenic shock which is lethal if untreated. Surgical results for the treatment of TAPVCTotal anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC) have greatly improved over the last three decades, reducing operative mortality to less than 10%.
