Impact of Circular and Green Economy on the Transformation of Integration Processes in the European Union
摘要
The research explores the impact of a circular and green economy on particular countries of the European Union and analyzes the key strategies and programs implemented by the countries of the integration group in these areas. As a theoretical and methodological basis, the research uses statistical, historical, logical, and dialectical principles and contradictions, etc. Of particular importance in the argumentation of the need to develop a circular and green economy was the process-system approach used in an in-depth analysis of individual economic indicators of the EU countries. On this basis, the authors carried out a detailed analysis of the key strategies implemented in the EU countries, assessed their timeliness and necessity, and studied the positions of leading Russian and international scientists on the transition of the countries of the integration group to a circular and green economy. Special attention is paid to calculating economic indicators, particularly the index of industrial production. In many EU countries, a downward trend has been identified until 2024. The research presents the main elements and features of the new action plan for a circular economy, outlines the key areas for forming a circular production process, and presents the main opportunities that the EU will gain from its implementation. On this basis, priority directions of relations between the main economic subjects of the EU are formed, focused on the production and consumption of environmentally friendly products, transition to innovation, and digitalization.
