Sustainable Development of Territories in the Digital Economy

The research subject is the process of the development of the regional economy from the point of view of the priorities of its sustainability and the correlation between digitalization processes and the modification of the impact of factors affecting the sustainability of regional development. The research aims to assess the likely consequences of the impact of digitalization on the sustainability of regional development, the possibilities of minimizing the negative consequences of digitalization in terms of priorities for regional sustainability and supporting positive consequences, with the subsequent development of a system of recommendations for adapting policies to ensure the sustainability of regional development to the economic and technological context of digitalization. During the research, the authors used standard analytical apparatus used in relevant case studies in earlier scientific works; methods of analysis and synthesis were chosen as the main ones. The conclusions and proposals formulated by the authors based on the research results contain theoretical recommendations for adapting regional development to the context of digitalization of the economy and measures that are practically interesting in the current sanctions period for the development of the Russian economy. To ensure the comprehensiveness of the research, the authors applied a differentiated approach to the consideration of digitalization, depending on the initial state of the regional economy of Russia in terms of its sustainability.
