On Some Issues of Legal Regulation of Corporate Social Responsibility and Green Economy
摘要
This research presents the idea that the green economy is a natural consequence of the development of the idea of corporate social responsibility (CSR). The green economy is the next stage in the development of the CSR. The authors define the green economy. Particular attention is paid to CSR as one of the fundamental conditions for the transition to a green economy. The positions of individual scientists on these pressing issues are outlined. The scientific community currently debates about the concepts of CSR and green economy, as well as the prospects for the transition to this level of public relations. The problems of business ethics, legal regulation of CSR, and the green economy are touched upon. The first level includes international legal norms (e.g., documents of the UN, EU, and APEC and international agreements). The second level includes national legislation (e.g., federal laws relating to environmental protection). The third level includes the norms of public associations. The authors also discuss the issues of international legal cooperation in this area. Additionally, the authors criticize CSR and the green economy. The authors discuss placing all the transition costs to these economic forms on developing countries and less protected sections of society. This transition will be vital for the EU, helping achieve the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development goals, particularly the Sustainable Development Goal of Responsible Consumption and Production.
