摘要

This research analyzes the impact of human activity on the environment and natural ecosystems, considering the significant processes of globalization and urbanization. The prolonged growth of society’s material consumption, as well as the continuous pursuit of diverse energy sources, inevitably manifest themselves in the level of waste and the adverse effects of industrial facilities on the atmosphere and biosphere. This leads to a constant increase in the number of environmental disasters and a growing imbalance in ecosystems. These factors contribute to the emergence of a demand for a change in approaches to conducting business and the economy as a whole. The awareness of responsibility for the ongoing impact on natural and biological resources has led to the emergence of a new green economic model. Analyzing a range of sources on this topic reveals that the concept of green economy is still shaping its contours, and interpretations and views of different authors may vary. However, all authors emphasize the necessity of implementing these approaches. Sustainable growth and development of the green economy, markets, and business are conditioned by a change in the consciousness of society. Many people are currently changing their approach to the consumption of goods and services, starting to advocate for conscious consumption, which, in turn, creates new markets and opportunities for stable growth and development of businesses within the framework of this new concept.
