摘要

The study, by conducting a survey on a sample of 1180 randomly selected Polish consumers, showed whether there is market interest in poultry meat. The first research area was to verify the level of meat consumption in general, as well as poultry meat. In the study population, only 1% of people declared that they do not eat meat at all. Around half (49%) eat meat every day or almost every day, the other large group (42%) every two or three days. Another research objective was to verify what factors influence the purchase of poultry meat. Among the decision variables, respondents mentioned: ease of preparation, health reasons, price, easy access, habit, nutritional value, taste, among others. The analysis of the results included grouping variables, i.e. age, gender, education of the respondents. The scope of the study also includes a literature analysis considering the location of poultry meat production and consumption in the light of sustainable agricultural development.
