摘要

In recent decades, the focus on sustainable farming practices has revolutionised agriculture. Population growth requires efficient use of resources and higher productivity associated with higher quality production. Technologies must be developed to meet these challenges. In this review, the effect of UVC was studied and its use on unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) was evaluated. The UVC (ultraviolet C-type) effect emerges as a powerful strategy in the fight against pathogens ensuring the disinfection of contaminated environments and surfaces. UVC radiation with wavelengths between 200 and 280 nm damages the DNA and RNA of microorganisms, including pathogenic fungi, hindering their replication, and causing cell death. The use of robotics can improve agricultural management reducing the use of chemicals and ensuring product quality. The possibility of mounting UVC lamps and portable devices on robots offers a promising prospect for a more efficient, sustainable, and future-oriented agriculture. The results of this research highlight the effectiveness of UVC technology combined with robotics in monitoring and treating crops.
