The Effect of Chlorophyll on the Mechanical Properties of Natural Rubber (NR) and the Penetration of X-ray

摘要

After extracting chlorophyll from the Alfalfa plant and tree leaves as a plasticizer and antioxidant. We take the weight of (100) g from NR rubber and added another material as in Table 1 with it weight in pphr (part for 100 part of rubber) then added chlorophyll with different ratios (20 - 100) pphr and its effect on the mechanical properties of the prepared rubber Composite was studied, the results were showing a decrease in the tensile, elasticity and the hardness while increasing the elongation. As for the X-ray (10 kV) penetration results, was weak even at high chlorophyll levels (100) pphr. The research aims to investigate the effect of chlorophyll on X-ray attenuation.
