Colour in Digitisation and Imaging
摘要
A digital image is composed of pixels, which represent the light signals captured by a camera. Most digital cameras use CCD technology, which discretely samples the analog light signals and assigns a number to each interval to record the density and colour information of image points. These numbers determine the digital storage of the image and instruct the computer screen or printer on how to render the image at that point with a specific grayscale or colour. Each image consists of millions of pixels, allowing for high-resolution display on a screen or high-quality printing on a printer that closely matches the original image.
