Colour Theory
摘要
Colour theory developed over a couple of centuries and has been traditionally taught in art and design schools for many decades. Although the exact curriculum is not precisely defined it typically includes some or all of the following topics: colour ontology, colour mixing, colour circles, colour harmony and colour meaning. A number of eminent scholars have made important contributions to the body of knowledge known as colour theory including Michel Eugène Chevreul (1786–1889), Albert H Munsell (1858–1918), Johannes Itten (1888–1967) and Josef Albers (1888–1976). Itten and Alberts made contributions that are associated with the influential Bauhaus approach to design that was founded by Walter Gropius.
