摘要

Colour measurement has widespread utility in almost every industry (Berns in, Billmeyer and Saltzmann’s principles of colour technology. Wiley, 2019). All physical products are coloured and within the industries that manufacture those products there are people concerned with specifying, communicating and predicting colour and colour appearance. This chapter will begin with a brief discussion of the challenges that need to be solved in these areas.
